First and foremost, Stewart is a creative. He came from a still photography background and had early success with Tony Stone which then became Getty. When Getty purchased their first footage collection, Stewart was brought in early as a contributor to establish processes for live action offerings. In 2005 Stewart was invited to be an owner of Blend as it was being established. As a board member at the company he helped to create the Blend motion offering as well. When a group purchased Superstock from A-21, Stewart was invited in as an investor. As the years went on his interest has grown to where he is now the owner and managing director. He is in the process on taking the older collection and solidifying its place in the digital economy. He still runs SCPictures as well which is a full service production company serving the advertising community.
